Congress is attempting to pass a bill called the Stop Online Piracy Act. Basically, Hollywood will be able to ban websites, users, and censor whatever they want so their music and movies will stay off the Internet. In reality, they WILL abuse it and most likely almost every website that you and I like will be removed. This includes YouTube and even deviantART. That link will tell you all about it.

Also, as mentioned by my friend, we're the voice of the people. We aren't filtered, and everyone can see what we TRULY think and believe by just going to specific websites. If this bill passes, then there is nowhere where we can connect with other people, start petitions, and just generally alert other Americans and even the rest of the world of what's going on.

This matters. We HAVE to stop this. Otherwise, we're done for, and it will probably take our children to undo this butchering of personal rights.
